The acai berry diet is one of the latest "super food diets" to promise quick weight loss results, but are these weight loss claims realistic or are they backed up by facts?

Acai berries grow in the rainforests of Brazil where the natives have eaten them for hundreds of years. While the berry is about the size of a small grape, most of that size is made up by the pit which leaves about ten percent of the actual fruit to be used.
